CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO WORK OR ASSIST IN MINES

The Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Amendment Act, 2016 was approved by the government and went into effect on September 1, 2016. The Act prohibits the employment of children under the age of 14 in all jobs and processes, as well as the employment of teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 in hazardous occupations and processes.
