CDC GROUP PLC. SUBSCRIPTION TO SECURITIES OF ECOM EXPRESS PRIVATE LIMITED APPROVED BY CCI
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved CDC Group Plc. subscription to Ecom Express Private Limited securities. The proposed combination provides for the subscription of CDC Group Plc. to securities of Ecom Express Private Limited.
CDC is a Development Finance Institution that provides capital to private sector entrepreneurs in developing countries is wholly owned by the UK Government. Ecom is an Indian company that provides 3rd party logistics services in India.
BANK OF INDIA TAKES OVER BOI AXA INVESTMENT MANAGERS PVT LTD AND BOI AXA TRUSTEE SERVICES PVT LTD
Under Section 31(1) of the Competition Act, 2002, CCI approves acquisition by Bank of India of BOI AXA Investment Managers Private Limited and BOI AXA Trustee Services Private Limited.
The proposed merger includes the acquisition by BOI of 49 percent in BOI AXA Investment Managers & BOI AXA Trustee Services total share capital. Bank of India will also become the sole owner of BOI AXA IM & BOI AXA TS and the only sponsor of the mutual fund of BOI AXA. In compliance with the proposed combination, the BOI shall remain in the banking industry and it will continue to sell the products of the mutual fund of the target entities.
Bank of India is a public sector bank established under the banking Companies (Acquisition & Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970.
BOI AXA IM is a private limited company, incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 which acts as an asset management company to BOI AXA Mutual Fund. BOI AXA TS is also a private limited company which is incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 and it provides trustee service to BOI AXA Mutual Fund.

Under section 31(1) of Competition Commission of India (CCI), approves the takeover of Varian Medical Systems, Inc by Siemens Healthineers Holding I Gmb.
Siemens Healthineers Holding I Gmb, which is a part of Siemens AG Group, acquires 100 per cent shares of Varian Medical Systems, Inc.
Siemens Healthineers provides healthcare solutions and services, globally and it is active in over 70 countries worldwide. It has three business segments, namely: (i) imaging products, services and solutions, (ii) laboratory diagnostic equipment, and (iii) advanced therapies.
Varian provides medical devices and software solutions for treating cancer and other advanced treatments. Varian primarily operates in three main business segments, namely: (i) oncology systems, (ii) proton solutions, and (iii) interventional solutions.
