Employees of the central government will see a pay raise of rs 4500 when the centre grants children an education allowance

Government employees who were unable to claim their Children Education Allowance (CEA) because of the Corona pandemic can now do so, according to the Central Government. Central government employees receive a monthly payment of Rs 2,250 for their children’s education, based on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. CEA claims can now be made via self-declaration or SMS/e-mail printout of result/report card/fee payment, according to the job. This facility, however, will only be available during the academic years ending in March 2020 and March 2021.

The 7th Pay Commission recommended that central government employees be paid Rs 2250 per month. After they claim their CEA, they would receive Rs 4500 per month for two children. If the second kid is a twin, however, this stipend is paid for both the first and second child’s education. A child must be paid Rs 4500 according to two academic calendars. It is possible to claim for March 2020 and March 2021 if an employee has not yet done so. In this case, their salary will be increased by Rs 4500.
